This gorgeous 18k gold cannetille dome ring is encrusted with fabulous almandine garnets. The top of the ring is embellished with a six-petaled flower that floats above the elongated dome; the petals are pear-cut garnets, and a single white pearl forms the blossom's center. Each closed back, foiled garnet is set in the delicate cut back collet popularized in the Georgian era. Exquisite gold wirework frames the garnets and forms layer upon layer of glittering plait that edges the ring. In the 1920s, the opulent ring top was applied to the 14k gold gallery and band. The smooth, curved gallery and slender, sculpted band hug the finger perfectly. Circa 1820-1920.

This rare, antique jewel is as fragile as it is lovely, it should be worn with care. Please note that you Do Not want to get foiled closed back gems wet, it will darken the stones.

Details.....Currently a size 5.25. This ring may be sized up or down two sizes free of charge. The top of the ring measures 24.1mm by 30mm and the band is 1.3mm wide. In Very Good Antique Condition. You should expect all vintage and antique jewels to show some wear, we consider it part of their charm.
